The tour starts in one of the most beautiful and famous cities in Europe, Porto. This is the perfect place to take a walking tour of the city and enjoy the Luis I Bridge and the Douro River that both create this extremely charming landscape.
On the second day, we’ll visit the “origin cities” of Portugal, where we’ll encounter the great Bom Jesus Sanctuary in Braga and the Guimarães Castle, a very important location and the reason being is that this was the place where the administrative center of the Portucalense County was established by D. Afonso Henriques, the 1st King of Portugal! On the next day, we’ll travel to one of the most northern cities of Portugal, named Viana do Castelo.
Here we’ll have the chance to get to know better this magnificent place and their monuments like the Sanctuary of Santa Luzia, the Ship-Hospital Gil Eannes, the Church of St. Domingues, the Statue of Viana and also the Eiffel Bridge. On the same day, we’ll also visit Ponte de Lima, the oldest village of Portugal, bathed by the river Lima that gave rise to the name of this charming place.
